Geeta Bajaj Society
An Introduction
The institution was first started on the auspicious day of 7th July 1952 as “Bal Mandir Happy School” with less than half a dozen tiny tots from the small neighbourhood of the Moti Doongri area of Jaipur and very soon it grew to a primary school. A few years later, it was renamed Bal Mandir School and went on to acquire the status of a High School and then Senior Secondary. Twenty four years later, in 1976, a two year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree course was started under the auspices of the Bal Mandir Women’s Teachers Training College to help empowerment of women. In between a Basic STC course was also run for young women which was functional till as late as 2010, after which the Government shut down all STC Colleges.
Geeta Bajaj Bal Mandir, now in its eighth decade, continues with full vigour on its journey to bring quality and low cost education to children and women. During this long and exciting journey, countless students, teachers, parents and citizens from various sections of society have been associated with the institution.
Despite various challenges, we have made progress. We believe that by following the path shown by revered Geeta Didi, and implementing her fundamental educational methods, Geeta Bajaj Sansthan will continue to contribute to shaping the lives and characters of responsible citizens for our country.
Our goal is not only to provide academic but also holistic education to our students. Didi envisioned that this institution’s doors should always remain open for those children and students whose parents cannot afford their educational expenses. In pursuit of this objective, we provide partial or full scholarships to approximately one-third of our students every year. Geeta Bajaj Bal Mandir aims to maintain a distinctive position among the state’s leading institutions, fostering citizens who uphold high ideals and principles, contributing to the building of a new India.
